Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between SMC Media Tech ("SMC", "we", "us") and the organization or person using the SMC Tech platform ("you"). By accessing the admin portal at control.livecdn.io, using the services it provides, or using a mobile or TV application we publish on a channel's behalf, you agree to these Terms. If you use the platform on behalf of a channel or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
2. The service
SMC Tech provides livestreaming, content delivery, and channel-management services for television channels — including live stream distribution, program guide publishing, live broadcasting to third-party platforms, and mobile and TV applications. The specific services available to a channel are determined by its service agreement with SMC.
3. Accounts
- Portal accounts are issued to administrators authorized by a channel and by SMC. You may not share your account or let others sign in as you.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in methods (phone, email, passkeys, remembered devices) secure.
- Notify us promptly at support@livecdn.io if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your content
Channels retain all rights to the content they stream, upload, or configure on the platform — video, program schedules, artwork, and channel information ("Channel Content"). You grant SMC a license to host, store, process, and distribute Channel Content solely to provide the services.
You are responsible for your Channel Content, including holding all rights, licenses, and clearances needed to broadcast and distribute it — such as broadcast rights, music licensing, and any consents required from people appearing in it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the platform to:
- Stream or publish content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that you do not have the rights to distribute;
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform, probe or breach its security, or access accounts, channels, or data you are not authorized to access;
- Resell or provide the service to third parties except as agreed with SMC in writing.
6. Third-party platforms
The platform can publish live broadcasts to third-party services such as Facebook and YouTube. Your use of those services — including content you publish to them through SMC Tech — is also governed by their own terms and policies, and you are responsible for complying with them. SMC does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, decisions, or actions, including removal of content or suspension of accounts.
7. Fees
Fees for the services, where applicable, are set out in the channel's service agreement or order with SMC and are payable as agreed there.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical — for example for maintenance, security, or platform changes outside our control.
9. Intellectual property
The platform — including its software, design, and branding — is owned by SMC and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the platform other than the right to use the services as described here.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, audience, or data, arising out of or related to the services. SMC's total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amounts paid by the channel for the services in the twelve months before the claim arose.
11. Termination
A channel's access to the services ends as provided in its service agreement with SMC. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if these Terms are materially breached or to protect the platform, its users, or third parties. Sections 4, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. General
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where SMC Media Tech is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. If we make material changes to these Terms we will update this page and revise the effective date above; continued use of the services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
